Day-of-Coordination: Intimate Whimsical Wedding | Outdoor Art Club, Mill Valley

Viktoriya and Danny had contacted me 2 months prior to their wedding looking for a Day-Of-Coordinator. When hearing about all the details that the two of them put together and the love that they had for their family and friends, I was super excited. The wedding took place at an intimate venue surrounded by luscious greenery called The Outdoor Art Club in Mill Valley, CA. Mill Valley has got to be the cutest little town I have ever seen. Everyone seemed to know each other and they have the most amazing coffee houses and boutique shops.

Viktoriya and Danny’s wedding had a whimsical and woodland feel to it. Viktoriya is very crafty and basically made all the details that you see in this wedding from the succulent favors, table numbers, and wine cork signs, to all of the printed items such as the invitations and menus. She even made fabric flowers to go into the flower centerpieces and bouquets. I couldn't tell which flowers were fake and which were real! The wooden arbor for the ceremony was also all hand crafted. As a person who enjoys making handmade things, I could really appreciate the details of the wedding and all the time and effort that was put into it. It surely didn’t go unnoticed.

One thing that the couple really wanted was for their wedding to be full of surprises. The first surprise was having Danny’s father be the officiant. After walking down the aisle, his father went and stood up by the arbor to officiate the wedding. All the guests were completely surprised as they didn’t know he would be officiating. Another surprise is right when they said I DO they had a mariachi band walk down the path playing music and guiding the guests to cocktail hour. It didn’t stop there…when the bride and groom entered the reception hall for their first dance they broke out into a choreographed tap dance that they had been working on for months. Lastly, later in the evening the couple's tap dance teacher and few of the students surprised the guests and made an appearance on the dance floor. The whole night was filled with fun and good times. There was so much love in the air for the couple, their family, and friends. Vika and Danny, it was a pleasure working with the two of you and may your life always be full of fun surprises!
